If you are interested in purchasing a baby monitor check out my review of the Vava baby monitor after two full years of use!

Let’s first jump into some of the features of the Vava monitor.

Features of the Vava Monitor

Most baby monitors are going to have a lot of the same features. You won’t use half of these features. I want to hit on the features that are unique to the Vava and the ones we find ourselves using most frequently.

Some stand-out features of the Vava baby monitor are the ability to tilt up and down as well as swivel side to side. You can almost see around an entire bedroom depending on where to place the Vava.

Another key feature is that the Vava does not connect to your Wi-Fi. For some, this could be a negative, while others find it to be positive

I am not the most tech-savvy person, but my understanding is that monitors connected to Wi-Fi may have a greater risk of being hacked.  It is scary to think of someone watching your child or even speaking to them through the monitor.

The features we use most are the simple ones such as volume and brightness.  We occasionally use the zoom, but find the quality to get a bit blurry at times. We found placing the monitor on a higher shelf seemed to help with the image quality.

When you look to purchase a baby monitor focus on the couple of features that matter most to you.

Ours were no Wi-Fi, the ability to move the camera in all directions, and a good size screen for viewing.

Don’t get too caught up in all the bells and whistles.

Quality Baby Monitor

We have found the Vava baby monitor to be of great quality.

We have now used it for over two years! The only thing that is damaged is the charging chord and that’s because I let our Roomba eat it.  Whoops!

Everything else is going strong after daily use for two years.

This baby item is an investment, but one you will find yourself frequently using.

When it comes to baby items I believe you should invest in those items that matter most to you and will also get the most use. For more explanation on this check out my article on The Most Expensive Large Baby Items: Are They Worth the Investment?

I believe the Vava is a quality baby monitor that can fit your needs!

Tips and Recommendations

If you plan to have multiple children I would consider purchasing the Vava with two cameras that both link up to the one monitor screen.

We are currently working on purchasing a second camera for our second baby which is due to arrive in a few months. Due to supply chain issues, we are having a bit of a difficult time getting that second camera.

The other thing to consider is by the time you need the second camera your model could be discontinued.

Based on conversations with other moms like myself I found that the on/off button on the top was often where the first breakdown could occur. I don’t often use this button. I simply keep the monitor turned on all the time. The screen times out and darkens, but the monitor is still on.

Try not to overuse any part of your monitor because it could extend the life of it!

All of these tips will apply to any monitor your purchase, so keep them in mind even if you decide the Vava isn’t right for you!

Good luck in selecting the right baby monitor for your family!
